Episode Sixteen

We have no idea who Andreas Lundin is but it's pretty damn cool that he has a little absinthe fairy sitting on his glass.

This episode was just too much fun.

Jerry turns Dan on to Inland Empire Coffee, who for all we know may be Dan’s neighbors. Link: IECoffee.com

(It’s been a few years since he’s had it, but Jerry has fond memories of their Guatemala Huehuetanango.)

Through some strange twist in a conversation, we discovered that at some point in the future we must all beware the land squid.

BEWARE THE LAND SQUID!

Jerry will be going to Germany next month and Dan tells him he must absolutely bring home as many bottles of Tabu Absinthe as is legal. And not only because of the cool logo featuring the angry little man (see below). He says it’s really, REALLY good, and Jerry is hoping he can find some in the duty free port on the way home because his flight back is direct.

This is a picture of Jerry created at the exact moment he realized he was out of absinthe.

Other things mentioned in this episode for which we promised links in the show notes:

Dan shared this picture with Jerry:

Pink Freud

Dan and Jerry’s friend Pat shared this photo of his local absinthe selection, asking which ones he should get (or avoid):

Which one should Pat get?

Dan shared this picture with Jerry:

Horsing around. Yes yes.

Have you been Shpongled? Jerry has, and so has this episode. Music featured is from this awesome PsyTrans (PsyGoa?) trippy wonderful awesome group:

Music that makes you hallucinate. In color!

And finally, we’d like to leave you with this question … which you can answer in the comments: What is your favorite absinthe?

  1. Pat says:

This is the best you guys have done in a long time. Keep up the good work. Still can’t afford even a decent beer, but that being said, they added a bottle of St. George to the mix. I remember Dan in particular being enamoured of this, and I am encouraged by the monkey brand on the label. More to come as I wrestle with real life economics and absithe dreams….
