IN THIS EPISODE Dan and I explore the top five myths of Absinthe (as per Mutineer Magazine).
Updated show notes: We discuss Mansinthe and musical antichrists, hallucinating during The Shining, absinthe colors, and I question exactly how absinthe is distilled. Is it like a tea? Dan didn’t have a definitive answer for that, so I found one here: How Absinthe is Made (via The Virtual Absinthe Museum).
Dan recommends SquareTrade.com as a great place to get insurance for my gadgets … and they’re not even paying us to say that. As a matter of fact, no one is paying us. That is … unless someone is paying Dan and he’s not telling me! Hmmm…
Oh, this is interesting, and probably the closest you’ll ever have to hallucinating while imbibing absinthe: A glass of absinthe that, when you drink it, little green fairies fly around you (virtual reality required).
Music featured in this episode is by Scott Hallgren, specifically his album: Tango – Jazz (live in Studio C) from Magnitune.com.
A CORRECTION: I state on this episode that La Clandestine is blue, but since we recorded this I have learned that it’s the GLASS of the bottle that’s blue. La Clandestine itself is CLEAR.
